Warranty basics
Feather Mobility provides a limited warranty covering defects in material and workmanship under normal use. Feather is a US manufacturer based in Tallman, New York, and Morelli Medical is an authorised dealer — so warranty support runs through us.
Warranty length
Coverage varies by product and component:
  • Manual wheelchair frames — Feather Chair, Chair HD, Transport: 1 year
  • Wheelchair wearable parts — wheels, upholstery, brakes, footrests: 6 months
  • Feather Scooter frame: 2 years
  • Feather Scooter electronics and wearable parts: 1 year
  • Feather Scooter battery: 6 months
  • Feather Power Chair frame: 1 year
  • Feather Power Chair wearable parts: 6 months
  • Feather Power Chair battery: 3 months
What is not covered
Warranty claims are excluded where damage results from:
  • accident, neglect or misuse
  • improper transportation arranged by the purchaser
  • operation contrary to the manufacturer's instructions
  • repair or modification by anyone other than authorised personnel
ABS plastic body shrouds, footrest covers, tires, tubes, upholstery and seating are treated as wear items and are not warranted. Gradual battery deterioration from being left discharged or stored in cold conditions is not covered.
Making a claim
Contact us first and we will walk you through it. Have your order number, the serial number from the frame, and photos or video of the fault ready — it speeds the process considerably. Email support@morellimedical.com or call (866) 338-2838.
Returns ▾
Return policy
You have 30 days from receiving your order to return it. To be eligible, the product must be new, in resaleable condition, and in its original box, so keep the box and packaging until you are sure the product is right for you.
How to start a return
Contact us before sending anything back. Once your return is approved, we will send you instructions for shipping it to Feather Mobility's facility in New Jersey. Items sent back without an approved return request cannot be accepted. Email support@morellimedical.com or call (866) 338-2838.

  • Return shipping: paid by you
  • Restocking fee: 20% of the product price, deducted from your refund
Inspection and refunds
Feather Mobility inspects every returned product, and the decision on whether a refund is issued rests entirely with Feather. No refund is given if the product is not returned in its original box, or if it shows obvious signs of use.
Damaged or incorrect items
Inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If anything is defective, damaged, or not what you ordered, contact us immediately so we can put it right. Photographs of the packaging and the contents help considerably.
Before you order
Mobility equipment has to fit the person using it. Seat width, weight capacity and whether a chair is self-propelling or caregiver-pushed all matter, and getting one wrong is the most common reason for a return. Call us at (866) 338-2838 before you buy and we will size it with you.

Shipping overview
Feather Mobility orders are delivered by FedEx Ground or UPS Ground.
Lead times
In-stock products ship 1 business day after your order is placed. Ground transit time then depends on your location. If a product is out of stock, or you need it by a particular date, contact us before ordering and we will confirm when it can arrive.
Battery-powered products
The Feather Scooter and Feather Power Chair ship with lithium batteries, which carriers handle under special rules. If you need one delivered outside the contiguous United States, contact us before ordering.
Filing a claim
If your order arrives damaged, contact us as soon as possible so we can start the claim before the carrier's window closes. Inspect the carton before the driver leaves where you can, and photograph any damage to the box as well as the contents. The Feather Transport is a caregiver-pushed transport wheelchair weighing 13 lb without footrests, with an 18″ seat and a 300 lb capacity. Small rear wheels keep the overall length down to 24″, and it folds to 15″ wide.

A transport chair is designed to be pushed by someone else. That is the trade it makes — give up the large rear wheels and the ability to self-propel, and you get a chair that is shorter, lighter and easier to get through a doorway or into a car. For appointments, airports, day trips and anywhere a companion is doing the pushing, it is the more practical choice.

Someone who always has a companion to push, and who needs a chair for appointments, travel and days out rather than independent daily use. Capacity is 300 lb.

Choose your brakes

Available with or without caregiver handbrakes. If your route includes any slope at all — a ramp, a hill, a car park — take the handbrakes. They give the person pushing real control on a descent.

Transport or manual

This chair cannot be self-propelled

The rear wheels are 8.5″ and carry no handrims, so the person seated cannot push themselves along. Someone else does the pushing. That is what makes a transport chair lighter and shorter than a manual chair — but it is the single most important thing to be sure about before ordering.

The Feather Transport weighs just 13 lb, Feather's figure without the footrests fitted, yet carries up to 300 lb on its 18″ seat. Feather calls it the lightest transport wheelchair ever made. Most people can lift it into a car, truck or SUV on their own, so a trip out doesn't need two people.

02 · Braking

Handbrakes, or not

The Feather Transport comes with or without caregiver handbrakes: bicycle-style levers on the push handles that let the person pushing slow the chair and hold it on a slope. If your regular routes include a ramp, a sloped driveway or a hilly sidewalk, choose the handbrake version. If you will mostly use it indoors and on flat ground, the version without handbrakes may be all you need.

24″ long, folds to 15″ wide

With small rear wheels instead of large ones, the chair is only 24″ long, 6″ shorter than the Feather Chair wheelchair, which helps in elevators, restaurant aisles and tight turns. It is 23″ wide when open and folds down to 29″ × 24″ × 15″, ready for a car trunk or a closet.

04 · Safety & Working Limits

Before you use it

  • This chair is pushed by a companion, not self-propelled. Its small 8.5″ rear wheels are not designed for the user to move themselves.
  • Weight capacity is 300 lb (136 kg). Do not exceed it.
  • Engage the wheel locks before any transfer, in or out. Transfers are when most wheelchair falls happen.
  • If you choose the version without handbrakes, plan routes that avoid slopes. Controlling a loaded chair downhill without brakes is harder than it looks.
  • Read the owner's manual before first use. Warranty claims are denied where a product has been misused, neglected, modified, or repaired by anyone other than authorized personnel.

This wheelchair has not been tested or certified for use as a seat in a moving vehicle. If you need a transit-rated chair, contact us before ordering. Equipment should be selected in line with guidance from the user's physician, occupational therapist or other qualified healthcare professional.

Pushed, not self-propelled: the rear wheels are 8.5″ and carry no handrims, so the seated user cannot move the chair themselves. If independent propulsion matters, the Feather Chair with its 22″ rear wheels is the correct product — call us and we will compare the two with you.

On the 13 lb figure: this is the manufacturer's weight measured without footrests fitted. With footrests the chair is heavier. Ask us for the complete figure if you need it for a weight limit or a lift.
