Warranty basics
Feather Mobility provides a limited warranty covering defects in material and workmanship under normal use. Feather is a US manufacturer based in Tallman, New York, and Morelli Medical is an authorised dealer — so warranty support runs through us.
Warranty length
Coverage varies by product and component:
  • Manual wheelchair frames — Feather Chair, Chair HD, Transport: 1 year
  • Wheelchair wearable parts — wheels, upholstery, brakes, footrests: 6 months
  • Feather Scooter frame: 2 years
  • Feather Scooter electronics and wearable parts: 1 year
  • Feather Scooter battery: 6 months
  • Feather Power Chair frame: 1 year
  • Feather Power Chair wearable parts: 6 months
  • Feather Power Chair battery: 3 months
What is not covered
Warranty claims are excluded where damage results from:
  • accident, neglect or misuse
  • improper transportation arranged by the purchaser
  • operation contrary to the manufacturer's instructions
  • repair or modification by anyone other than authorised personnel
ABS plastic body shrouds, footrest covers, tires, tubes, upholstery and seating are treated as wear items and are not warranted. Gradual battery deterioration from being left discharged or stored in cold conditions is not covered.
Making a claim
Contact us first and we will walk you through it. Have your order number, the serial number from the frame, and photos or video of the fault ready — it speeds the process considerably. Email support@morellimedical.com or call (866) 338-2838.
Returns ▾
Return policy
You have 30 days from receiving your order to return it. To be eligible, the product must be new, in resaleable condition, and in its original box, so keep the box and packaging until you are sure the product is right for you.
How to start a return
Contact us before sending anything back. Once your return is approved, we will send you instructions for shipping it to Feather Mobility's facility in New Jersey. Items sent back without an approved return request cannot be accepted. Email support@morellimedical.com or call (866) 338-2838.
Return costs
  • Return shipping: paid by you
  • Restocking fee: 20% of the product price, deducted from your refund
Inspection and refunds
Feather Mobility inspects every returned product, and the decision on whether a refund is issued rests entirely with Feather. No refund is given if the product is not returned in its original box, or if it shows obvious signs of use.
Damaged or incorrect items
Inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If anything is defective, damaged, or not what you ordered, contact us immediately so we can put it right. Photographs of the packaging and the contents help considerably.
Before you order
Mobility equipment has to fit the person using it. Seat width, weight capacity and whether a chair is self-propelling or caregiver-pushed all matter, and getting one wrong is the most common reason for a return. Call us at (866) 338-2838 before you buy and we will size it with you.

Shipping overview
Feather Mobility orders are delivered by FedEx Ground or UPS Ground.
Lead times
In-stock products ship 1 business day after your order is placed. Ground transit time then depends on your location. If a product is out of stock, or you need it by a particular date, contact us before ordering and we will confirm when it can arrive.
Battery-powered products
The Feather Scooter and Feather Power Chair ship with lithium batteries, which carriers handle under special rules. If you need one delivered outside the contiguous United States, contact us before ordering.
Filing a claim
If your order arrives damaged, contact us as soon as possible so we can start the claim before the carrier's window closes. Inspect the carton before the driver leaves where you can, and photograph any damage to the box as well as the contents. At 37 lb without batteries, the Feather Scooter is built around the problem that ends most scooter ownership: getting it into a vehicle. It folds in under a minute, tips onto rear wheels so you can pull it like luggage, and runs 7.5 miles on a charge at up to 5 mph.

Most mobility scooters weigh enough that loading one means a hoist, a ramp or a second person — which quietly turns a scooter into something that only leaves the house on planned trips. This one is light enough to lift and small enough to store, so it goes wherever the car goes. Four wheels rather than three, so it is the more stable configuration.

Who it's for

People who can walk short distances but not far, and who want to keep travelling — shopping trips, holidays, days out. Capacity is 265 lb. Best suited to someone who can sit upright unsupported and operate a tiller.

Folding

Pull the fold knob and lower the seatback, loosen the tiller knob and fold the tiller down between the chassis, retighten. It then rolls on its rear tip wheels. Unfolding takes under a minute.

Flying with it

Check with your airline first

The Feather Scooter uses a 25.2V 10Ah lithium battery — roughly 252 watt-hours. Mobility device batteries are handled under separate rules from ordinary luggage batteries, and most carriers will accept a battery of this size, but approval is airline-specific and usually needs arranging in advance.

Call your airline before booking, quote the 252 Wh figure, and ask whether the battery must travel in the cabin. We would rather you had that conversation early than at a check-in desk.

Small enough for the trunk or the closet

Folded, the Feather Scooter measures 37.5″ deep, 22″ wide and just 18″ high, and it stays in one piece with nothing to take apart. It fits in the trunk of a car, truck or SUV, and tucks into a closet or corner at home between trips. At 37 lb, practically anyone can lift it in and out. 02 · Folding & Transport

Folds down, then rolls like luggage

Pull out the fold knob and lower the seatback. Then loosen the tiller knob, lower the tiller so the handles rest between the chassis, and retighten. The folded scooter tips back onto its rear wheels and pulls along like a suitcase, across a parking lot or through a hotel lobby. When you arrive, unfolding takes less than a minute, with no tools.

03 · Power & Battery

37 lb without the battery, about 41 lb with it

The scooter weighs 37 lb without its battery. The removable 25.2V 10Ah lithium battery adds about 4 lb, for roughly 41 lb ready to ride, and lifting the two separately makes loading even easier.

A full charge gives up to 7.5 miles at a top speed of 5 mph, with an 8° maximum climbing angle. Expect less range on hills, rough surfaces or with a heavier rider. Feather lists the battery as airline-approved, but check with your airline before you fly.

04 · Safety & Working Limits

Before you use it

  • Weight capacity is 265 lb (120 kg), lower than Feather's wheelchairs. Check it before ordering.
  • Maximum climbing angle is 8 degrees. Do not attempt steeper slopes, and approach any slope straight on rather than at an angle.
  • Ground clearance is 3″, which is low. This scooter is for sidewalks and indoor use, not grass, gravel or rough ground.
  • The rider needs to sit upright without support and operate the tiller. If that is not possible, a power chair is the better choice, and we can help you compare.
  • Charge the battery as the manual directs, and do not store it fully discharged. The battery warranty is six months.
  • Read the owner's manual before first use, and practice folding and unfolding at home before relying on it away from the house.

Local rules on where mobility scooters may be ridden vary, so check your state and city regulations. Equipment should be selected in line with guidance from the user's physician, occupational therapist or other qualified healthcare professional.

On the 37 lb figure: this is the scooter without its batteries fitted. Feather does not publish the battery weight separately, so the assembled weight will be higher. In practice you lift the chassis and the battery pack separately, which is what makes the scooter manageable — but ask us for the assembled figure if you need it for a vehicle lift or a weight limit.
