Warranty basics
Feather Mobility provides a limited warranty covering defects in material and workmanship under normal use. Feather is a US manufacturer based in Tallman, New York, and Morelli Medical is an authorised dealer — so warranty support runs through us.
Warranty length
Coverage varies by product and component:
  • Manual wheelchair frames — Feather Chair, Chair HD, Transport: 1 year
  • Wheelchair wearable parts — wheels, upholstery, brakes, footrests: 6 months
  • Feather Scooter frame: 2 years
  • Feather Scooter electronics and wearable parts: 1 year
  • Feather Scooter battery: 6 months
  • Feather Power Chair frame: 1 year
  • Feather Power Chair wearable parts: 6 months
  • Feather Power Chair battery: 3 months
What is not covered
Warranty claims are excluded where damage results from:
  • accident, neglect or misuse
  • improper transportation arranged by the purchaser
  • operation contrary to the manufacturer's instructions
  • repair or modification by anyone other than authorised personnel
ABS plastic body shrouds, footrest covers, tires, tubes, upholstery and seating are treated as wear items and are not warranted. Gradual battery deterioration from being left discharged or stored in cold conditions is not covered.
Making a claim
Contact us first and we will walk you through it. Have your order number, the serial number from the frame, and photos or video of the fault ready — it speeds the process considerably. Email support@morellimedical.com or call (866) 338-2838.
Returns ▾
Return policy
You have 30 days from receiving your order to return it. To be eligible, the product must be new, in resaleable condition, and in its original box, so keep the box and packaging until you are sure the product is right for you.
How to start a return
Contact us before sending anything back. Once your return is approved, we will send you instructions for shipping it to Feather Mobility's facility in New Jersey. Items sent back without an approved return request cannot be accepted. Email support@morellimedical.com or call (866) 338-2838.
Return costs
  • Return shipping: paid by you
  • Restocking fee: 20% of the product price, deducted from your refund
Inspection and refunds
Feather Mobility inspects every returned product, and the decision on whether a refund is issued rests entirely with Feather. No refund is given if the product is not returned in its original box, or if it shows obvious signs of use.
Damaged or incorrect items
Inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If anything is defective, damaged, or not what you ordered, contact us immediately so we can put it right. Photographs of the packaging and the contents help considerably.
Before you order
Mobility equipment has to fit the person using it. Seat width, weight capacity and whether a chair is self-propelling or caregiver-pushed all matter, and getting one wrong is the most common reason for a return. Call us at (866) 338-2838 before you buy and we will size it with you.

Shipping overview
Feather Mobility orders are delivered by FedEx Ground or UPS Ground.
Lead times
In-stock products ship 1 business day after your order is placed. Ground transit time then depends on your location. If a product is out of stock, or you need it by a particular date, contact us before ordering and we will confirm when it can arrive.
Battery-powered products
The Feather Scooter and Feather Power Chair ship with lithium batteries, which carriers handle under special rules. If you need one delivered outside the contiguous United States, contact us before ordering.
Filing a claim
If your order arrives damaged, contact us as soon as possible so we can start the claim before the carrier's window closes. Inspect the carton before the driver leaves where you can, and photograph any damage to the box as well as the contents. The Feather Power Chair weighs 33 lb without its battery, runs 11 miles on a charge at up to 4 mph, and turns in 35″. Capacity is 250 lb, seat width 18″.

Most powerchairs come apart into several pieces to go in a car — seat off, battery out, base split — and then have to be reassembled at the other end. The Feather Power folds as a single unit. Seat down to 13″, back down to 28″, and it goes into a boot or a coat cupboard whole. That difference decides whether a powerchair actually travels with you or becomes a house-only machine.

Who it's for

Someone who wants powered independence and still travels — visits, holidays, appointments. Capacity is 250 lb, which is the lowest in the Feather range, so check it first.

Indoors

A 35″ turning radius is tight enough for hallways, kitchens and bathrooms — roughly half the turning circle of a four-wheel travel scooter. Overall width is 24″, so it clears standard doorways.

Comfort

1″ seat and back cushions with padded armrests. The armrests flip back, which makes getting in and out considerably easier — particularly for a side transfer from a bed or a chair.

Flying with it

Removable battery, but check with your airline

The 24V 8Ah lithium battery — roughly 192 watt-hours — lifts out, which is what makes air travel possible at all. Mobility device batteries are assessed under separate rules from ordinary luggage, and most carriers will accept a battery of this size.

But approval is airline-specific and usually needs arranging in advance. Call your carrier before booking, quote the 192 Wh figure, and ask whether the battery must travel in the cabin. Better that conversation happens now than at a check-in desk.

Most power chairs have to be taken apart before they go in a car, then put back together at the other end. The Feather Power Chair collapses and folds as a single unit, with nothing to remove. Folded, it measures 13″ wide, 28″ high and 27″ deep, small enough for a car trunk or a coat closet, and at 33 lb it is light enough for most people to lift.

02 · Comfort & Safety

Padded armrests and a seat belt option

The padded armrests give steady support while riding, and they flip back to clear the way for getting in and out of the chair. The seat and back have 1″ cushions for comfort. For extra security, Feather offers an optional seat belt and anti-tippers, and we recommend both, especially for outdoor use.

03 · Turning & Control

Turns in 35″, steered by joystick

A single joystick controller drives, steers and stops the chair, so small adjustments are easy in tight spaces. With a 35″ turning radius, a little over half that of the Feather Scooter, it turns in kitchens, bathrooms and hallways, and at 24″ wide it clears standard interior doorways.

04 · Battery

11 miles per charge, and the battery lifts out

A 24V 8Ah lithium battery gives up to 11 miles on one charge, at a top speed of 4 mph, enough to keep up with a brisk walk. Expect less range on hills, thick carpet or with a heavier rider. The battery is removable, which lightens the chair for lifting and allows it to fly. Check with your airline before you travel.

05 · Working Limits

Before you use it

  • Weight capacity is 250 lb (113 kg), the lowest in the Feather range. Check it against the user's weight before ordering.
  • Maximum climbing angle is 10 degrees. Approach slopes straight on, never at an angle, and do not attempt anything steeper.
  • Ground clearance is 3″, which is low. This chair is for sidewalks and indoor use, not grass, gravel or rough ground.
  • Charge the battery as the manual directs, and avoid storing it discharged or in the cold. The battery warranty is three months.
  • Read the owner's manual before first use, and practice folding and unfolding at home before relying on it away from the house.

This wheelchair has not been tested or certified for use as a seat in a moving vehicle. Equipment should be selected in line with guidance from the user's physician, occupational therapist or other qualified healthcare professional.

Capacity: 250 lb is the lowest rating across the Feather range. If you are cross-shopping against a Feather manual chair at 300 lb or a Feather Chair HD at 450 lb, check this figure carefully before ordering.

On the 33 lb figure: this is the chair without its battery fitted. Feather does not publish the battery weight separately, so the assembled weight is higher. In practice you lift the folded chassis and the battery separately, which is what makes it manageable — but ask us for the assembled figure if you need it for a vehicle lift or a weight limit.

Air travel: the battery is 24V 8Ah, roughly 192 watt-hours, and removable. Mobility device batteries are assessed under separate rules from ordinary luggage, and approval is airline-specific.
