Warranty, Shipping and Return

Warranty
Warranty basics
Dansons Medical provides a limited warranty on all patient lifts, stand assists, slings and accessories against defects in workmanship and product performance. Dansons reserves the right to repair or replace defective parts or accessories rather than supply a complete new unit.
Warranty length
Coverage varies by component:
  • Lift frame and spreader bar: 3 years
  • Electric actuator: 2 years
  • Casters, pendant and other parts: 2 years
  • Weigh scale: 2 years
  • Hydraulic pump: 1 year
  • Reusable fabric slings: 6 months
The warranty extends to the original purchaser only and is non-transferable. Claims require proof of sale and the product serial number.
What is not covered
Warranty claims will be denied where there is evidence of product abuse or misuse, accidental or malicious damage, improper installation, use with parts or accessories of incompatible quality or specification, adulterated product, user neglect, failure to maintain and service the product as specified in the owner's manual, a removed or defaced serial number, or normal wear and tear.
Making a claim
Contact us first and we will walk you through it. Have your order number, the serial number from the unit, and photos or video of the fault ready — it speeds the process considerably. Email support@morellimedical.com or call (866) 338-2838.
Returns
Return policy
Patient lifts and stand assists are not eligible for return once shipped, other than in the circumstances below. These are made-to-order medical transfer devices and the manufacturer does not accept them back into stock.
When we will take it back
We will arrange a return, at no cost to you, if:
  • the wrong model or wrong sling size was shipped
  • the unit arrives significantly damaged
  • the unit arrives defective
In each case we provide a return shipping label and issue a full refund or replacement. If the error is ours or the manufacturer's, it is fixed at our expense.
Before you order
Because these units cannot be returned for change of mind, it is worth a five-minute call before you buy. We will confirm the right model for the person being transferred, check the sling size against their measurements, and make sure a stand assist is appropriate rather than a full-body lift. Call (866) 338-2838 or email support@morellimedical.com.
Shipping
Shipping overview
Dansons lifts and stand assists ship by standard ground carrier — not freight. There is no delivery appointment to arrange, no lift-gate charge and no pallet to dispose of. The unit arrives as a boxed parcel and a tracking number is issued for every order.
Delivery
Standard ground delivery
The carrier delivers to your door like any other parcel. Shipping weights run from 80 lb to 96 lb depending on the model, so plan for two people to move the carton indoors.

Assembly
All units require assembly. Basic tools are supplied in the carton and the owner's manual sets out each step. Read it in full before first use and complete the connections with standard tools for maximum safety.
Lead times
Lead times vary by model and current stock. We will confirm the expected dispatch date when you order — contact us before ordering if you need the unit by a particular date and we will check availability first.
Filing a claim
If your order arrives damaged, contact us as soon as possible so we can start the claim before the carrier's window closes. Inspect the carton before the driver leaves where you can, and photograph any damage to the box as well as the contents. Email support@morellimedical.com or call (866) 338-2838 with your full name, order number and photos.

Dansons SA350 Compact Electric Stand Assist – 350 lb Capacity

$997.00

A stand assist is not a patient lift. It is designed for someone who can bear weight through their legs but lacks the strength to rise unaided. If the person cannot bear weight at all, a full-body patient lift is the correct equipment — call us on (866) 338-2838 and we will help you work out which you need.

Dansons SA350

From seated to standing, at the press of a button

The SA350 is Dansons Medical's electric stand assist: a 350 lb capacity, a standing platform and adjustable cushioned knee pads, raised by an electric actuator. It brings a person from sitting to standing so they can be moved to a commode, a wheelchair or a chair — or simply repositioned to relieve pressure.

Because it is powered, the caregiver presses a button rather than working a pump handle. That matters when the same transfer happens six or eight times a day, and it matters more when the caregiver is themselves elderly. The base closes to 23.1″ for doorways and opens to 29.8″ around a chair or commode. At 96 lb it ships by standard ground carrier rather than freight.

Who it's for

People with limited lower-extremity strength who can still bear weight. Common in home care and residential settings for commode transfers, dressing, and pressure relief — the routine daily movements that otherwise take two carers or risk a fall.

Control

An electric actuator raises and lowers under button control, so a single caregiver can complete the transfer without physical strain and with both hands free to steady the person being moved.

Comfort

Adjustable cushioned knee pads set to the individual, and a standing platform that gives the feet a stable base throughout. Powered movement is also smoother than a hand pump, which a nervous or frail person will notice.

Where it fits

A 23.1″ closed base clears standard interior doorways and opens to just 29.8″ — narrow enough to work in a bathroom, which is where most stand transfers actually happen.

Electric or hydraulic

Two builds of the same stand assist

This is the electric SA350. The SA350H is the hydraulic build — same frame, capacity, footprint and lift range, raised by a hand pump instead of a motor. Choose electric if transfers are frequent or the caregiver has limited strength. Choose hydraulic if you want nothing to charge, no rest period between transfers, and fewer components that can fail. Call us if you would like help deciding.

Features

01 · Who It Suits

For people who can bear weight but not rise

This is the distinction that decides whether the SA350 is the right purchase. It is built for people with limited lower-extremity strength who are still capable of bearing weight — someone who can stand once they are up, but cannot get there unaided. Getting to a commode, changing clothes, shifting position to relieve pressure: these are the transfers it is designed around.

If the person cannot bear weight through their legs at all, they need a full-body patient lift instead. We would rather talk it through with you than sell you the wrong machine.

Weight-bearing required Sit-to-stand transfers 350 lb capacity

An electric actuator raises and lowers the boom under button control. The caregiver is not pumping a handle, which changes the arithmetic when the same transfer happens six or eight times a day — and changes it more when the caregiver is a spouse in their seventies rather than a professional.

Powered movement is also steadier than a hand pump. Someone anxious about being lifted will feel the difference in the first few inches.

Electric actuator Button control Single-caregiver operation

02 · Operation

Powered, so the caregiver isn't the motor

03 · Support

Platform underfoot, pads at the knee

A standing platform gives the feet a stable base through the whole movement, and adjustable cushioned knee pads brace the shins so the person is supported rather than pulled upward by the arms. The pads adjust to the individual, which matters because the same unit used by two people at different heights will otherwise sit wrong on one of them.

Standing platform Adjustable knee pads Cushioned

Stand transfers usually happen in the tightest room in the house. The base closes to 23.1″ to clear a standard doorway and opens to only 29.8″ — roughly four inches narrower than a full patient lift, which is the difference between fitting beside a toilet and not. Base legs run 32.1″, so it turns in a space where a longer machine would have to be reversed out.

23.1″ closed / 29.8″ open 32.1″ base length Ships ground, not freight

04 · Footprint

Narrow enough for a bathroom

05 · Sling & Attachment

Deluxe padded sling, four sizes

A BestSling Deluxe Padded Stand Assist Sling ships with the unit, in Small, Medium, Large or XXLarge Bariatric. A stand assist sling wraps the torso rather than cradling the whole body, so sizing is measured around the torso and getting it right matters more than on a full-body sling — too loose and it rides up under the arms. The 4-point spreader bar is standard.

Free sling included Four sizes to bariatric 4-point spreader bar

06 · Safety & Working Limits

Before you use it

  • The person must be able to bear weight through their legs. A stand assist is not suitable for someone who cannot. Confirm suitability with the client's physician, nurse or occupational therapist before ordering.
  • Maximum lifting capacity is 350 lb (160 kg). The slings are rated as high as 600 lb, but the unit's 350 lb rating always governs — ordering the bariatric sling does not raise the lift's capacity.
  • Electric actuators run a duty cycle — a limit on continuous operation before the motor rests. Check the figure in the owner's manual if you are planning back-to-back transfers, or ask us.
  • Read the owner's manual in full and practise the transfer before performing it on anyone. Inspect the sling for fraying, worn stitching or damaged straps before every use.
  • Warranty runs 3 years on the frame and spreader bar, 2 years on the actuator, casters and parts, and 6 months on reusable slings. It covers the original purchaser only and excludes misuse, improper installation, neglect and normal wear.

This equipment should be used in line with guidance from the client's physician, occupational therapist or other qualified healthcare professional. Morelli Medical does not provide clinical assessment or prescribe equipment.

Suitability: a stand assist requires the person to bear weight through their legs. If they cannot, a full-body patient lift is the correct equipment. Confirm suitability with the client's physician, nurse or occupational therapist before ordering — or call us on (866) 338-2838 and we will help you work it out.

Capacity note: the slings are rated from 400 lb to 600 lb, but the unit's 350 lb capacity is the limit for the whole system. Choosing the XXLarge Bariatric sling changes the fit, not the lifting capacity. Never load beyond 350 lb.

Warranty: covers defects in workmanship and product performance. It extends only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable, and claims require proof of sale and the serial number. Excluded: misuse, accidental or malicious damage, improper installation, use with incompatible parts, neglect, failure to maintain the product as the manual specifies, a removed or defaced serial number, and normal wear and tear.

What's Included

Prefer no battery to charge? The SA350H is the same unit with a hand-pumped hydraulic cylinder instead of an actuator — no charging, no duty cycle, and it works in a power cut.

Sold separately: additional and replacement stand assist slings, spare batteries, replacement casters and other parts. Call us on (866) 338-2838 or email info@morellimedical.com if you need help sizing a sling or deciding between a stand assist and a full-body lift.
