Warranty basics
Feather Mobility provides a limited warranty covering defects in material and workmanship under normal use. Feather is a US manufacturer based in Tallman, New York, and Morelli Medical is an authorised dealer — so warranty support runs through us.
Warranty length
Coverage varies by product and component:
  • Manual wheelchair frames — Feather Chair, Chair HD, Transport: 1 year
  • Wheelchair wearable parts — wheels, upholstery, brakes, footrests: 6 months
  • Feather Scooter frame: 2 years
  • Feather Scooter electronics and wearable parts: 1 year
  • Feather Scooter battery: 6 months
  • Feather Power Chair frame: 1 year
  • Feather Power Chair wearable parts: 6 months
  • Feather Power Chair battery: 3 months
What is not covered
Warranty claims are excluded where damage results from:
  • accident, neglect or misuse
  • improper transportation arranged by the purchaser
  • operation contrary to the manufacturer's instructions
  • repair or modification by anyone other than authorised personnel
ABS plastic body shrouds, footrest covers, tires, tubes, upholstery and seating are treated as wear items and are not warranted. Gradual battery deterioration from being left discharged or stored in cold conditions is not covered.
Making a claim
Contact us first and we will walk you through it. Have your order number, the serial number from the frame, and photos or video of the fault ready — it speeds the process considerably. Email support@morellimedical.com or call (866) 338-2838.
Returns ▾
Return policy
You have 30 days from receiving your order to return it. To be eligible, the product must be new, in resaleable condition, and in its original box, so keep the box and packaging until you are sure the product is right for you.
How to start a return
Contact us before sending anything back. Once your return is approved, we will send you instructions for shipping it to Feather Mobility's facility in New Jersey. Items sent back without an approved return request cannot be accepted. Email support@morellimedical.com or call (866) 338-2838.
Return costs
  • Return shipping: paid by you
  • Restocking fee: 20% of the product price, deducted from your refund
Inspection and refunds
Feather Mobility inspects every returned product, and the decision on whether a refund is issued rests entirely with Feather. No refund is given if the product is not returned in its original box, or if it shows obvious signs of use.
Damaged or incorrect items
Inspect your order as soon as it arrives. If anything is defective, damaged, or not what you ordered, contact us immediately so we can put it right. Photographs of the packaging and the contents help considerably.
Before you order
Mobility equipment has to fit the person using it. Seat width, weight capacity and whether a chair is self-propelling or caregiver-pushed all matter, and getting one wrong is the most common reason for a return. Call us at (866) 338-2838 before you buy and we will size it with you.

Shipping overview
Feather Mobility orders are delivered by FedEx Ground or UPS Ground.
Lead times
In-stock products ship 1 business day after your order is placed. Ground transit time then depends on your location. If a product is out of stock, or you need it by a particular date, contact us before ordering and we will confirm when it can arrive.
Battery-powered products
The Feather Scooter and Feather Power Chair ship with lithium batteries, which carriers handle under special rules. If you need one delivered outside the contiguous United States, contact us before ordering.
Filing a claim
If your order arrives damaged, contact us as soon as possible so we can start the claim before the carrier's window closes. Inspect the carton before the driver leaves where you can, and photograph any damage to the box as well as the contents. Light enough that lifting it stops being the problem


The Feather Chair is a folding manual wheelchair built around one idea: take the weight out. The frame is 13.5 lb with the rear wheels off, and 19 lb complete — roughly half what a standard steel chair weighs. Available in an 18″ or 20″ seat, with quick-release rear wheels and anti-tippers included.

That difference is not abstract. A caregiver in their seventies can lift this into a car boot without help. Someone travelling alone can manage it at an airport. And the pop-off rear wheels mean it stores in a cupboard or a small hatchback rather than dominating a hallway. Fold the backrest, pull up the middle of the seat, and the chair collapses to 15″ wide.

Who it's for

People who travel, families where the caregiver does the lifting, and anyone whose current chair is too heavy to get into a car. Capacity is 300 lb in the 18″ and 350 lb in the 20″.

Braking

Wheel locks sit at the front of the frame where a seated user can reach them. Separately, the caregiver gets bicycle-style locking brake levers on the push handles — real control on a slope, not just a parking brake.

About that 13.5 lb

What the number actually means

13.5 lb is the 18″ frame with the rear wheels removed — which is exactly how you lift it into a car once you have popped the wheels off. Complete with wheels it is 19 lb, and footrests and anti-tippers add a little more. We would rather you knew that before ordering than after. Either figure is still around half a conventional chair, and the 19 lb complete weight is what most people compare against.

01 · Weight & Sizing

19 lb complete, in two seat widths

The 18″ chair weighs 19 lb complete, or 13.5 lb with the rear wheels off, and holds up to 300 lb. The 20″ weighs 20 lb, 14 lb without wheels, and holds up to 350 lb. Both have a 16″ seat depth. Not sure which width? Measure across the hips while seated and add about 2″, or call us and we will help.

02 · Folding

Folds in two moves, no tools needed

Fold the backrest down, pull up on the middle of the seat, and the chair closes to 15″ wide. The quick-release rear wheels come off at the push of a button for an even smaller, lighter package. Unfolding the chair and refitting the wheels takes under a minute.

03 · Cushions & Comfort

Padded seat and back, built to stay light

The seat and back have 1″ padded cushions in charcoal nylon, with full-length armrests on both sides. Feather's colored overlay cushions are available for extra comfort. If the user sits for long periods or needs pressure relief, a dedicated wheelchair cushion may suit better, though it will raise the seat height.

04 · Storage

Small enough for the trunk or the closet

Folded, the 18″ chair measures 29″ × 28″ × 15″, light and compact enough for most people to lift into a car, truck or SUV, or tuck into a closet at home. A carry bag is available for travel. In a vehicle, stow the empty chair in the trunk or back seat, never the front seat.

05 · Safety

Before you use it

  • Maximum weight is 300 lb on the 18″ and 350 lb on the 20″. Do not exceed it.
  • Lock both wheels before getting in or out. Transfers are when most wheelchair falls happen.
  • Keep the anti-tippers fitted. A lightweight chair tips backward more easily than a heavy one.
  • After refitting the wheels, check both are locked in place before anyone sits down.
  • Read the owner's manual before first use.

This wheelchair is not rated for use as a seat in a moving vehicle. Choose mobility equipment with guidance from the user's physician, occupational therapist or other qualified healthcare professional.
