Warranty, Shipping & Returns

Warranty
Warranty basics
ObboMed alternating pressure mattress systems come with a manufacturer's warranty from ObboMed Group LLC. If you ordered through Morelli Medical, contact us first and we will handle the claim with ObboMed on your behalf.
Warranty length
Coverage varies by component:
  • Control unit: 2 years
  • Mattress: 2 years
  • Top cover: 1 year
Making a claim
Contact us before sending anything back, and we will walk you through the process. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims, so keep your order confirmation. Photos or video of the fault speed things up considerably. Email support@morellimedical.com or call (866) 338-2838.
Returns
Return policy
You have 30 days from receiving your order to request a return, and requests made after that are declined. To be eligible, the item must be new and unused, in its original packaging, with all documents and accessories included. Returns are inspected on arrival, and the cost of any missing or damaged parts is deducted from your refund.
How to start a return
Contact us before sending anything back. Items returned without an approved return authorization cannot be accepted. Once your return is approved, it must arrive back at the manufacturer within 30 days, or the authorization expires. Return shipping is arranged and paid by you, and you will need to send us the tracking numbers. If you prefer, we can arrange return shipping for you and deduct the cost from your refund. Email support@morellimedical.com or call (866) 338-2838.
Fees deducted from refunds
  • Original shipping cost: deducted even if your order shipped free
  • Return shipping cost: your responsibility, or deducted if we arrange it for you
  • Restocking fee: 25% of the item's value, with a minimum of $15
What cannot be returned
  • Installed items, bedding, slings and wearable products, for hygiene reasons
  • Medical mattresses that have been opened
  • Items under $25
  • Custom-built items made to non-standard specifications
If you are unsure whether your order falls into one of these categories, ask us before you buy.
Cancellations and refused deliveries
Orders can be canceled, but a 10% cancellation fee applies once an order is already being fulfilled. Custom-built items may carry a 25% cancellation fee, where cancellation is still possible. If an order has already shipped, or a delivery is refused, it is treated as a standard return, and the restocking fee and shipping costs are deducted.
Rejected returns
Returns showing obvious signs of use or damage may be rejected. If that happens, you pay the cost of shipping the item back to you, and items whose return shipping is not paid within 7 days will be disposed of.
Refunds
Once your return reaches the manufacturer, it is inspected and a credit is issued. Allow up to 30 days from the item's arrival for the refund to be processed, plus whatever time your bank or card issuer needs to post it.
Shipping
Shipping overview
ObboMed orders ship via UPS Ground.
Lead times
Orders usually ship the same day or the next business day. Built-to-order models, such as the UtilityAir OB-1600, take considerably longer, so call us for a current lead time before ordering one of these, especially if you are working to a discharge date.
Delivery time
Once your order ships, UPS Ground delivery usually takes 1–5 business days, depending on your location.
Filing a claim
If your order arrives damaged, contact us within 72 hours of delivery, because damage reported after that cannot be claimed. Inspect the packaging before the driver leaves where you can, and photograph any damage to the outer packaging as well as the contents. Email support@morellimedical.com or call (866) 338-2838 with your full name, order number and photos.

ObboMed StandardAir OB-1680

All three rotation angles, at half the price of the flagship

The OB-1680 sits at the top of ObboMed's StandardAir range and carries the feature that matters most: the full 15°, 25° and 40° lateral rotation set, the same as the premium models, with alternating pressure, 15 LPM low air loss, inflatable guardrails and the sinking feature. Where it saves money: the patented "Easy Go" bedpan and shampoo functions are manually operated rather than one-touch electric — a small difference for a few uses a day, a bigger one around the clock. That trade is the whole reason this model costs what it does.

Who it's for

Home care and nursing settings needing daily repositioning and full rotation capability on a tighter budget. ObboMed states it is intended for individuals at medium to high risk of pressure sores, stages I to IV.

Full rotation set

15° self-lateral for continuous gentle weight shifting, plus 25° and 40° on a timer for genuine repositioning — what separates the OB-1680 from the models below it in the StandardAir range.

If the power fails

Cell-on-cell construction keeps the lower layer inflated during an outage so the patient does not bottom out, with audio and visual alerts while the air hose stays connected.

Where this sits in the range

StandardAir, PremiumAir or UltraAir

Three things separate the tiers:

Airflow. StandardAir and PremiumAir run 15 LPM low air loss; UltraAir runs 23 LPM — meaningfully more moisture management for a heavy load or existing wound.
Hygiene functions. Manual "Easy Go" here; one-touch electric on PremiumAir and UltraAir.
Comfort extras. Massagers and a body warmer appear on the OB-2650 and OB-3650. This model has neither.

Rotation capability, guardrails, the sinking feature and Fowler support are the same here as at the top of the range. Call us on (866) 338-2838 to compare the tiers against a specific situation.

Before you order

Check it fits the bed and the person

The system sits on an existing bed frame — the frame, bedpan and shampoo basin are not included. Measure the internal length and width of your frame before ordering. If you need the exact dimensions or weight capacity for a procurement specification, call us and we will confirm them with ObboMed before you commit.

Features

ObboMed alternating pressure mattress features overview

01 · Rotation

The full 15°, 25° and 40° set

This is what puts the OB-1680 at the top of the StandardAir range. The 15° self-lateral rotation runs as a slow wave that shifts weight without waking anyone; 25° turns left, right or automatically; 40° gives a full lateral turn, on intervals from 10 minutes to 2 hours. If the care plan calls for a genuine turn rather than weight shifting, this is the model to look at within the tier. Angles and intervals should follow the treating clinician's instructions.

15° self-lateral 25° left / right / auto 40° lateral 10 min – 2 hr intervals

02 · Pressure & Airflow

Alternating pressure with 15 LPM low air loss

Alternating pressure cycles the air cells on a 10–40 minute cycle so no area of skin carries continuous load. Low air loss at 15 LPM, with a built-in fan, draws heat and moisture away — the same figure as the PremiumAir range. The UltraAir models run 23 LPM, the better choice where moisture is a clinical concern in its own right.

03 · "Easy Go" Functions

In-bed toileting and hair washing — manually operated

The patented "Easy Go" bedpan and shampoo systems are included: air cells beneath the hips deflate to leave a recessed opening for a bedpan, and the head section does the same for a wash basin — both eliminating a transfer, which matters most for a patient with sacral wounds. On the StandardAir range these are manually operated rather than the one-touch electric versions on PremiumAir and UltraAir — same function, a little more effort each time. Bedpan and shampoo basin are not included.

04 · Safety

An 8″ soft-sided well during rotation

Patented inflatable air-filled guardrails inflate and deflate as needed — soft-sided rather than metal. Combined with the sinking feature, which drops the surface up to 4″ while the guardrails rise 4″, you get an 8″ soft-sided well that keeps the patient centred through a 40° turn. Fowler seating support reinforces the torso and seat zones when the head of the bed is raised — where most systems bottom out — and cell-on-cell construction holds air during an outage, with audio and visual alerts.

05 · Materials

Washable, flame retardant, latex-free

The cover is an antimicrobial fabric with a moisture-resistant top layer — machine washable and flame retardant, which matters in a facility with linen protocols and fire regulations. The whole system is latex-free, lead-free and mercury-free. No massager or body warmer on this model — those appear on the OB-2650 PremiumAir and OB-3650 UltraAir.

06 · Before You Order

Fit, functions and returns

  • The "Easy Go" functions are manual on this model, not one-touch electric. If a caregiver will use them many times a day, the OB-2650 or OB-3650 may be worth the difference.
  • No massager or body warmer. Both appear on the OB-2650 PremiumAir and OB-3650 UltraAir.
  • The bed frame, bedpan and shampoo basin are not included. Measure your frame before ordering.
  • If you need exact dimensions or weight capacity for a procurement specification, call us on (866) 338-2838 and we will confirm them with ObboMed.
  • Medical mattresses cannot be returned once opened, for hygiene reasons.
  • Inspect the packaging on arrival and report any damage within 72 hours of delivery — freight claims cannot be filed after that window.

This equipment should be selected and used in line with guidance from the patient's physician, wound care nurse or other qualified healthcare professional. Morelli Medical does not provide clinical assessment, prescribe equipment, or advise on wound management.

Manual hygiene functions: the patented "Easy Go" bedpan and shampoo systems on the StandardAir range are manually operated. The PremiumAir and UltraAir models use one-touch electric versions that deflate the cells in about twenty seconds. If a caregiver will be using these functions repeatedly through the day, the difference is worth considering.

Airflow: low air loss runs at 15 LPM on this model, against 23 LPM on the UltraAir range. Where microclimate control is a clinical priority rather than a comfort matter, the OB-3650 is the higher-airflow specification.

Not included: bed frame, bedpan and shampoo basin. The system is a mattress and control unit that sit on an existing frame. Medical mattresses cannot be returned once opened, and damage in transit must be reported to us within 72 hours of delivery.

Clinical responsibility: rotation angles and cycle times should be set according to the treating clinician's instructions. Morelli Medical supplies equipment and does not provide clinical assessment, prescribe therapy, or advise on wound management.

What's Included

Not included: bed frame, bedpan and shampoo basin. The "Easy Go" functions create the space for a bedpan or basin — you supply the items themselves. This model does not include a vibration massager or body warmer.

Sold separately: replacement top covers, replacement air cells and spare control units. Call us on (866) 338-2838 or email info@morellimedical.com if you need help choosing between the StandardAir, PremiumAir and UltraAir ranges.
