What is HBOT?

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is a safe, non-toxic treatment that uses changes in atmospheric pressure to adjust the amount of oxygen available to the body. This increased oxygen environment can assist in recovery time, rate of natural healing, and provides relief for many medical conditions. 

Generally, HBOT treatment increases the relative atmospheric pressure to 1.5 ATA allowing oxygen levels to reach 95% in the surrounding air. This is about 6 times the amount of oxygen you would be exposed to when at sea level (where atmospheric pressure is at 1.0 ATA). 

This increased oxygen allows greater and faster absorption into your blood, which speeds the body’s natural healing and repair processes and tissue recovery functions. 

Our systems are designed to provide stable oxygen saturation of up to 96% at no more than 1.5 ATA to ensure effective and safe treatments. This means there is no risk of oxygen toxicity, which occurs at 100% oxygen saturation at 2 - 3 ATA.

     You can make an appointment with your treating physician or family practitioner, or simply ask about HBOT during your annual check-up! Any MD, DO, or dental surgeon with current state licensure can provide a prescription. The appointment may be in-person or virtual via telehealth or another online method. The medical professional will use their discretion when writing a prescription but must include a positive recommendation for hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
