Warranty ▾
Warranty basics
Luggie Scooter, Inc. DBA FreeRider USA warrants to the original purchaser that all new Luggie or FreeRider branded scooters and power chairs, when purchased from an authorized dealer, are free from defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, shipping damage, misuse, neglect, abuse, unauthorized modification, or commercial or rental use.
Warranty length
• Structural frame: 3-year limited warranty from date of purchase
• Motor, transaxle, brake assembly, and electrical components: 1-year limited warranty
• Lithium battery (scooters): 1-year limited warranty
• Lead acid batteries (power chairs): 6-month limited warranty
• Plastic parts and chassis hooks: 30-day limited warranty
Remedies and costs
FreeRider USA will repair or replace defective parts at its discretion. Warranty covers parts only. Labor, service calls, and shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise authorized. All warranty claims require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before shipping.
Returns ▾
Return requirements
Products must be inspected within 24 hours of delivery. Damaged or incorrect items must be refused or reported within 24 hours with photos. Customers must request an RMA within 14 calendar days of receipt and return all accessories, charger, and manuals using original packaging.
Refunds and restocking
Approved returns are subject to a 25 percent restocking fee plus return freight. Items showing visible wear or usage are not refundable. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 3 to 5 business days after warehouse inspection.
Shipping ▾
Shipping and delivery
Standard shipping typically takes 5 to 7 business days. Expedited shipping is 2 to 3 business days, and overnight shipping is 1 business day. Orders are processed within 1 to 2 business days excluding weekends and holidays.
Tracking and delivery issues
Tracking information is sent once the order ships and becomes active within 24 hours. Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping addresses. Fees caused by incorrect addresses or missed deliveries will be deducted from any refund.
What’s not covered
FreeRider USA is not responsible for carrier delays, Acts of God, or shipping damage not reported within required timeframes. Certain items including batteries, electrical parts, memory cushions, certified products, and delivery fees are non-returnable.

The Luggie is a lightweight folding mobility scooter designed and manufactured by FreeRider Corp. in Taiwan. It is built for portability, safety, and everyday convenience.
Where are Luggie scooters made? ▾
All Luggie scooters are manufactured in-house by FreeRider Corp. in Taiwan using ISO-certified production standards and premium-grade components.
How much weight can a Luggie scooter support? ▾
Weight capacity varies by model: Classic II supports up to 250 lbs, Elite and Standard models support up to 320 lbs, and Super and Super Plus models support up to 360 lbs.
How far can the scooter travel on a single charge? ▾
Range depends on the battery. The standard 10.5Ah lithium battery provides up to 12.5 miles, and the extended 16.5Ah lithium battery provides up to 19.65 miles. Actual range can vary based on rider weight, terrain, and speed.
How fast do Luggie scooters go? ▾
Luggie scooters have a top speed between 4 and 5 mph depending on the model. Speed is adjustable using the control dial on the tiller.
Can I fold and unfold the scooter by myself? ▾
Yes. Luggie scooters are designed for one-person folding and unfolding without tools. They fold in seconds and can be rolled like a suitcase when folded.
Are Luggie scooters suitable for outdoor use? ▾
Yes. They are designed for sidewalks, driveways, and paved paths. Models with suspension and larger tires can provide improved comfort on uneven pavement, but they are not intended for off-road or rough terrain use.
What safety certifications do Luggie scooters have? ▾
Luggie scooters are FDA Class II medical devices and meet major global safety standards including CE, UL, and ISO certifications. Each unit is inspected and tested before shipment.
How long does delivery take? ▾
Most orders ship within 1 to 3 business days after processing. Typical delivery times are 2 to 4 business days for the West Coast, 3 to 5 business days for the Midwest, and 4 to 7 business days for the East Coast. Tracking is provided once the order ships.
Does the scooter require assembly? ▾
No major assembly is required. The scooter arrives approximately 95 percent assembled. Setup typically takes less than five minutes and requires no tools.
What is the standard warranty? ▾
New Luggie scooters purchased from an authorized dealer include a limited warranty: 3 years on the frame, 1 year on motor, transaxle, brake assembly, and electrical components, 2 years on batteries, and 6 months on chargers.
What does the warranty not cover? ▾
The warranty does not cover normal wear items, cosmetic damage, misuse, accidents, unauthorized modifications or repairs, or shipping damage that is not reported within the required timeframe.
How do I register my warranty? ▾
Register online through FreeRiderUSA or through your dealer at purchase. You will need your scooter serial number and proof of purchase from an authorized dealer.
Are replacement parts available? ▾
Yes. Genuine replacement parts and accessories can be purchased through authorized dealers or by contacting FreeRiderUSA. Using non-genuine parts may void warranty coverage.
Is financing available? ▾
Financing may be available through select authorized dealers and financing partners. Veterans may also qualify for support programs through the VA.
Does Medicare cover the Luggie scooter? ▾
Medicare and Medicaid do not currently cover folding mobility scooters like the Luggie. Some private insurers may reimburse part of the cost with proper documentation, and Veterans may qualify for assistance through the VA.
